By combining neo-classical style with Art Deco elements, the designers crafted a harmonious space highlighting the uniqueness and sophistication of this home.
A couple owning a chain of hotels in Cannes approached us to develop a design project for their apartment. They wanted something extraordinary, considering their Ukrainian-Iranian roots and the apartment's location in a historic building in the city center. They wished for a neo-classical style with Art Deco elements, harmonizing the apartment's interior with the architecture of the building while preserving its history and traditions.
The style, combining classicism, neo-classicism, and Art Deco elements, represents a unique blend of elegance, sophistication, and modern touches. Classicism gives the interior structure and order with the use of high-quality materials and decorative elements such as statues and columns. Neo-classicism retains the main features of classicism but introduces freer forms, while Art Deco elements add visual richness and luxurious patterns using crystal, mirrors, and geometric shapes. This style creates interiors that harmonize with the building's architecture and reflect the residents' aesthetic preferences.

Complex and Interesting Task: Design Project, Furniture, and Turnkey Renovation in a Historic Cannes Apartment
The task of developing a design project and carrying out a turnkey renovation, including furniture production, was both interesting and challenging. The demanding European clients sent their expert, an experienced engineer in construction and finishing works, as well as hotel outfitting. For a week, he carefully studied our architectural bureau, construction and finishing teams, and furniture production. The expert evaluated not only the aesthetic component (3D visualizations) but also the completeness and quality of the project documentation in English. He visited both completed projects and those in progress.

Apartment Layout
The apartment consists of a spacious hall, a kitchen with a large living room for entertaining guests comfortably, a master bedroom with a dressing room and private office, and a cozy children's room. We adjusted the original layout of the apartment. Previously, the kitchen was located in place of the bedroom, which was separated from the dining and living areas. The entire interior is designed in a classical style, making it convenient, sophisticated, and respectable.

Aesthetic and Functional Design Aspects: Unique Interior Details
The design project considered both aesthetic and functional aspects. High ceilings create an airy feeling, while a light color palette enhances the effect. We used quality materials and paid attention to every detail to create comfort and coziness.

Persian rugs add warmth and reflect the owner's Iranian roots. Almost all wooden elements – doors, wall panels, and furniture – were designed and produced by us. After air transport delivery, they were installed in the apartment, avoiding potential issues with other contractors.

Project Implementation: Turnkey Renovation and Custom Furniture by CIVILLY French Riviera
CIVILLY French Riviera performed a turnkey renovation and produced unique custom furniture, creating a harmonious space that reflects the home's spirit and history as well as the owners' character.
We developed the design project for the apartment, coordinated it with the clients, calculated estimates and the total renovation budget, and then began the renovation.
The full-scale renovation included demolition, removal of old wallpapers, flooring, ceiling panels, old furniture, and plumbing.
Electrical works included rewiring, installation of new sockets, switches, and lighting fixtures. Plumbing works included redesigning water and sewage systems, installing new fixtures, and equipment.
Special attention was given to furniture assembly and installation, including custom-made furniture based on our visualizations. Every detail was tailored and installed according to the design project: cabinets, kitchen sets, tables, chairs, beds, and other furniture throughout the apartment.
Considering noisy work schedules and summer restrictions in Cannes, the project required precise planning, coordination with clients, and compliance with local regulations. Renovation works, including furniture assembly and "holiday" pauses, lasted almost a year.

Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Area, Custom Furniture Production
In the kitchen and living room area, we emphasized spaciousness and convenience. It is ideal for hosting guests, family dinners, and social gatherings. The kitchen has two entrances, connecting directly to the dining area. The kitchen furniture is classic style, painted and patinated oak veneer on MDF. Countertops are green Bidasar marble from India.

The dining area was fully renovated, creating a harmonious and cozy space for meals. The central element is a large natural wood dining table with ample seating for family and guests. Surrounding chairs are upholstered for comfort and style.

Walls feature decorative panels and mirrors to visually expand the space and add depth. The dining room color palette is light, creating a sense of openness and comfort. Classical and neo-classical details, such as moldings and frescoes, harmonize with the rest of the apartment.

In the living room, special attention was given to the fireplace, redesigned in Art Deco style with geometric patterns and marble, creating elegance and modernity. Custom Chesterfield sofas added comfort and style for relaxation and socializing.

The space previously served as the kitchen. We redesigned it into a luxurious master bedroom with a dressing room and private bathroom.

The updated master bedroom design in Art Deco style adds elegance and luxury. The primary color is deep navy blue, creating a calm and cozy atmosphere, complemented by flamingo-colored Alcantara furniture for sophistication and warmth.

The central element is a large headboard that adds grandeur and serves as a decorative focal point. Bedside tables and a vanity, upholstered in Alcantara, enhance harmony and style. These elements are both functional and visually integrated, creating a cozy and elegant relaxation space.
